My bad that I was unclear in the letter. Yes, for freshers you would get asked trees and graphs in some of the companies. But for Google, Microsoft, Amazon and the likes if you're being interviewed for UI role and you have 4+ years of relevant experience then it won't be asked.
I have 6 years of experience in production support. I support applications written in bash and SQL. I have a passion towards Frontend technologies and would like to learn and switch the careers now. But I'm totally confused and overwhelmed on the learning content on the web. Also, Do I need to start again as a fresher to switch my career into front-end developer.
Hey I've 8yrs of total web development out of which 2yrs+ in MEAN stack and currently now I'm doing ML/AI from IIIT-B, now of I wanna join big league companies what path should i prefer? Plz also note that going for CP will require me to learn Java or C++ that too indepth while I work on javascript on daily basis also python is what I've to learn for ML/AI so learning C++ or Java is something big for me rn, so can you recommend me a path for big league companies?
If I have 2 years of experience as a full-stack developer and I have never practiced DSA will I have any chance of getting a job/internship in companies like Amazon, Microsoft ?
Ideally it should be the case. Few people are following that. But, even nowadays most of the interviewers are asking DS/algo except few companies like Razorpay, etc.
I, UI dev with 4+ yrs of experience was contacted by Microsoft HR before six months and only DS/Algo were asked in all 4 rounds. Questions are even from graph traversal, etc. They are not even probelm solving questions. When I asked my friends in Microsoft, they said that's how the interviews will be(DS/Algo heavy) in MS. That's the bitter truth.
Sir, Is DS Questions of String and Array are enough for FE interview, if we have very less time to prepare for it. As I am already familiar with DSA but not practice too much.
Also can you tell us How to prepare for machine coding round?
That's a great question. I will share my notes on the machine coding round soon. Stay subscribed and keep suggesting topics like these!
basic concepts of trees and graphs are asked like DFS and BFS , inorder, preorder, postorder related questions but yes ther are easy.
Thanks for giving insights!

Sir trees and DP are also asked heavily for FE interviews in companies like Swiggy, Zomato and flipkart.
For freshers yes, for experienced folks No. My bad that it wasn't clear in the letter.
Thanks for those minimum DSA topics to practice on.
Tanya, How much topic is more than enough to prepare SDE role?

For backend/Full stack Devs hardcore CP questions and advanced DS & Algo are still asked, right?

Sharing.
Graphs and DP are the most asked questions from Product Companies.
Majority of questions being asked from recursion for FE engineers.

All these advanced topics you mentioned which are not being asked in UI interviews, Is that the case with Microsoft as well.
